The Grumpiest Road Trip Ever

The Grumpiest Road Trip Ever

While on a road trip, an elderly couple decided to stop at a roadside diner for lunch.

After finishing their meal, they returned to the car and resumed their journey.

It wasn’t until they drove for about forty minutes that the elderly woman realized she had left her glasses on the table at the diner.

She informed her husband, and to their frustration, they had to drive quite a distance before they could find a place to turn around.

As they headed back to the diner to retrieve the glasses, the elderly husband transformed into the quintessential grouchy old man.

He fussed, complained, and scolded his wife nonstop during the entire drive back.

The more he griped, the more agitated he became, refusing to let up for even a moment.

Finally, to the elderly woman’s relief, they arrived back at the diner.

She quickly got out of the car and hurried inside to retrieve her glasses.

Just as she was about to enter, the old man rolled down his window and called out, “While you’re in there, you might as well grab my hat and the credit card!”

A mother-in-law wanted to test her three sons-in-law to see how kind-hearted they were.

She devised a simple plan.

First, she went for a walk by the river with the eldest son-in-law.

Suddenly, she jumped into the water, pretending to drown.

The first son-in-law immediately jumped in and rescued her.

The next morning, he found a brand-new Toyota Corolla parked outside his house with a note:

“From your loving Mother-in-Law.”

Next, she went for a walk by the river with the second son-in-law and repeated the same act.

Without hesitation, he also saved her.

The following morning, he too found a Toyota Corolla parked outside his house with a note:

“From your loving Mother-in-Law.”

Finally, the mother-in-law went for a walk by the river with the third son-in-law.

When she jumped in, he stood on the bank, chuckled, and walked away.

The next morning, he found a luxurious BMW M5 parked outside his house with a note:

“From your grateful Father-in-Law.”

A sweet grandmother called St. Joseph’s Hospital and, in a soft, trembling voice, asked, “Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?”

The operator replied warmly, “Of course, dear. What’s the name and room number of the patient?”

The grandmother hesitated slightly before saying, “Norma Findlay, Room 302.”

“Let me check with the nurse’s station for that room. Please hold on for a moment,” the operator said.

After a few minutes, the operator returned to the line. “Good news! The nurse told me that Norma is doing well.

Her blood pressure and blood work are normal, and Dr. Cohen has scheduled her to be discharged tomorrow.”

The grandmother sighed in relief, “Thank you so much. That’s wonderful. I’ve been so worried. God bless you for giving me such good news.”

With a smile, the operator asked, “Is Norma your daughter?”

The grandmother replied, “No, I’m Norma Findlay in Room 302.

No one tells me anything around here!”
