Three men—a Catholic, a Protestant, and a Baptist—were shipwrecked and stranded on a deserted island. After months of surviving the harsh weather and eating wild berries, they found a magic lamp washed up on the sand.
A Genie emerged from the lamp and announced, “I will grant each of you one wish to leave this island forever.”
The Catholic man stepped forward first. He clasped his hands, looked up at the heavens, and prayed, “Lord, I miss my wife and my home parish so much. I wish to return home immediately!”
Poof! A flash of holy light appeared, and he vanished, safely returned to his family.
The Protestant man stepped up next. He also prayed devoutly, “Lord, I miss my congregation and my fellowship meetings. I wish to go back to my family!”
Poof! A loud clap of thunder rang out, and he was instantly transported right back into his living room.
Finally, only the Baptist man was left on the island. He looked around the vast, empty beach, which now felt incredibly lonely and terrifyingly quiet.
He let out a long, heavy sigh, looked at the Genie, and said:
“Oh man, those two guys leaving so suddenly makes me feel so lonely. You know what… I wish they were both back here with me!”
An American tourist was strolling through London on an unusually windy afternoon.
As he walked down the street, a woman approached from the opposite direction.
Suddenly, a powerful gust of wind caught her dress and sent it flying upward.
The American tried his best to sound like a true Londoner and casually remarked,
“Bit airy today, isn’t it?”
The woman shot him an annoyed look and fired back,
“What did you expect?”
“Feathers?”
The American immediately decided his British accent still needed some work.
A perfectly ordinary guy was enjoying a quiet drink at a neighborhood bar when an absolutely stunning woman walked over, smiled, and asked,
“Want to get out of here?”
The guy nearly fell off his stool.
Nothing like this had ever happened to him before.
Trying to stay cool, he smiled and said,
“Absolutely.”
They got into his car and drove to a quiet scenic spot just outside the city.
