It was a room number.
Frank was born in Room 1933 of a hospital.
He then lived a normal life and eventually died at the age of 75.
So there is no contradiction at all!
The number 1933 only looks like a year because that’s how our brains naturally interpret it.
And that’s what makes this riddle so sneaky.
You weren’t really doing a difficult calculation.
You were simply making an assumption that the riddle never asked you to make. 😳
🧠 THE LESSON
Sometimes the hardest part of a riddle isn’t the math.
It’s realizing that the obvious meaning of a word or number isn’t necessarily the correct one.
Read the sentence again:
“Frank was born in 1933 and died at the age of 75.”
Now that you know the trick, it suddenly makes perfect sense!
👇 Did you immediately think 1933 was a year, or did you spot the trick?
